When you join the Albany Area YMCA, you are joining an organization that strives to strengthen individuals, families and the community. Be a part of the movement…join the YMCA today.
The YMCA is a non-profit 501c(3) organization that counts on the generosity of the community. There are many ways you can strengthen the YMCA through your contribution:
- Annual Campaign
- In-Kind Gifts
- Gifts in Honor or in Memory of Someone
- Sponsorship of our events
- Cornerstone Club
When you volunteer at the Y, you provide leadership and talent vital to empowering people and communities to learn, grow and thrive.
The YMCA is volunteer-founded and volunteer-based. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours of volunteer service to the YMCA annually through coaching, special events, and by serving on vital committees.
If you would like to volunteer as a coach for Youth Sports, contact Marc West at 229-436-0531, ext. 206.
Volunteer opportunities may also exist in other areas of the YMCA and for special events. For information about other volunteer opportunities, please contact Tami Pursley at 229-436-0531, ext. 205.
Volunteers can also sign up for Albany Area YMCA volunteer opportunities at VolunteerMatch.com.
All YMCA volunteers must pass a criminal background check and complete a YMCA interview process. The Y does not accept volunteers fulfilling court-appointed community service.
