Changing Lives One Gift at a Time | YMCA Annual Campaign
The scholarships provided by the Y’s Annual Campaign keeps the Y available for local kids and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected and secure. When you give to the YMCA, your gift will have meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood.

Our contributors and our scholarship recipients tell the story like no one else can. Watch the testimonial below - Why I Give.
The concept of the cornerstone, or foundation stone, derives from the first stone set in the construction of a building's foundation. The cornerstone is important since all other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.
Members of the YMCA Cornerstone Club are among our most supportive partners. Their foundational support often determines whether or not the Albany Area YMCA is in a strong financial position. The Albany Area YMCA Cornerstone Club is made up of members and friends who have honored the YMCA by making a commitment to provide for the future of our YMCA. It was established to provide our patrons and friends with a way to support the YMCA through planned giving. The Endowment Fund established by these donors allows the YMCA to have funds immediately available when unplanned expenses arise.
Cornerstone Club members have named the Y as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or insurance policy, or have made a current or planned gift, which could include cash or cash equivalents, bequests through a will, a living trust, or a charitable trust. Cornerstone Club members ensure that the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility endure and that Y programs will positively impact our community.
