Fit Coach Appointments
Let our trained staff put you on the right track. All Y members can take advantage of four FREE appointments with our professional fitness staff. Your appointments can include an orientation on equipment and assistance with goal-setting. Make your appointments at the Member Services Desk.
Youth: For their safety, Youth members (ages 12-17), are required to have two Youth Orientations with a Fit Coach before using the fitness equipment. An additional Free Weight orientation is required for youth ages 15-17. See page 11.
Free Weight Orientation
Learn the basic exercises for a complete body workout using Free Weights in this 45-minute orientation. These sessions are FREE for members and held on Saturdays
From 10:15-11:00 a.m. No appointment necessary.
For Youth: Ages 15 and up are allowed in the Free Weight Room. A Free Weight orientation is required for youth ages 15-17 who want to use the Free Weight Room. Youth must make an appointment at the Member Services Desk.
Relax, refresh, and rejuvenate with Spa Services at the YMCA Central Facility. Enjoy holistic therapy or therapeutic massage provided by certified professionals. Therapeutic massage is available for YMCA MEMBERS ONLY by licensed massage therapists from Albany Therapeutic Massage. For non-members interested in taking an occasional fitness class at the YMCA, the Fitness Class Punch Card is a good option. Each punch card is valid for 6 months after purchase.

Yoga for Cancer Survivors & Yoga for Veterans
