Payment Options  

Members have three options for paying their membership dues:

  • Monthly via bank draft - no contract, ten days notice before the end of the month is required for cancellation of the draft.
  • Annually. Save money by paying for a year of membership.
  • Short term. Short term memberships available for 1 month, 2 months or 3 months. Pay up front with cash, check or credit card. No joining fee with short term memberships.

Insurance Benefit Programs

Silver Sneakers

  • The Albany Area YMCA is a SilverSneakers® provider. Some insurance plans offer SilverSneakers® as a benefit to their covered patrons who are age 65 and older. Individuals who are eligible for the SilverSneakers® benefit receive a free basic adult membership to the YMCA. Contact your health insurance provider to find out if you are eligible for SilverSneakers®, or ask for more information at the Central Facility or Lee Branch.

Silver & Fit/Active & Fit

  • The Albany Area YMCA is a Silver & Fit® provider. Some insurance plans offer Silver & Fit® as a benefit to their covered patrons who are age 65 and older, and some offer Active & Fit as a benefit for patrons of all ages. Individuals who are eligible for the Silver & Fit® benefit receive a free basic adult membership to the YMCA. Contact your health insurance provider to find out if you are eligible for Silver & Fit®, or ask for more information at the Central Facility or Lee Branch.

GlobalFit

  • The Albany Area Y is a Global Fit provider.  Some insurance plans offer this as a benefit to their patrons.  To enroll through the program, or to check your eligibility, please contact your insurance provider or globalfit.com.  Please note the YMCA cannot enroll you in-house, it must be done via their website.  Once registered through their site please visit us at a branch location to take your member photo and recieve your scan card.

CareSource

  • The Albany Area Y is a CareSource provider. CareSource is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of their members. CareSource offers more than insurance, they now offer YMCA memberships.Any household with atleast one CareSource member who is enrolled in Georgia Families can have a YMCA family membership. Guest Passes

  • Local guests can visit the Albany Area YMCA two times before joining the facility. All guests must fill out a Guest Data Form and provide a picture ID. Guests under the age of 18 must have their Guest Data Form signed by a parent/guardian.
  • Members may obtain a 14-day pass for their out-of-town guests. Guests must fill out a Guest Data Form and provide a picture ID. Out of town guests under the age of 18 must have their Guest Data Form signed by a parent/guardian.
  • Nationwide Membership guests (members of other YMCAs) are allowed the same privileges at our Y as they are at their home Y.  Please present valid ID and membership card.  NWM must use their home Y at least 50% of the time.

We have a commitment to serve the families of Dougherty and Lee Counties, and we are dedicated to making family wellness affordable.

Financial Assistance:  It is the YMCA’s policy to offer financial assistance for programs and membership to those who qualify when funds are available. These scholarships are funded through generous donations from the community to our Annual Campaign. Download a YMCA Scholarship application. Fill out this application and return it to the YMCA along with required documents.
